A Sad Story

Why are some two-leggers so mean? I can't believe what happened to this other little wienie dog. I am so confused.

Play time!

So my Mom's daughter has this 'dog' called Lucy. She comes over to my house some times but I have never really wanted to play with her much. She is so hyper! I am more into being held, sleeping and that sort of stuff. Lucy is always jumping at me, sniffing me and barking at me. I know she won't hurt me but it is usually just a little annoying. But I guess she is my niece, so today I decided to go ahead and play with her a bit, maybe she would get it out of her system. Not!!

Clean again!

So on Thursday Mom decided I needed to get a bath and get my nails trimmed. So she took me to the groomer place and guess what - she left me there almost all day! Do you know how hard it is to be around all those yapping four-leggers all day. Big ones, little ones, loud ones, quiet ones and I think I even spotted a cat or two, yucch!! I would much rather have just stayed home and curled up on Mom and Dad's bed. At least that way I wouldn't have had to wear this Christmas ribbon around my neck the rest of the day. By the way, Christmas was my birthday, I am nine years old. Dad says that in human years I am almost as old as he is! Wow, that's old. Is that why I am getting all this white on my face and legs.

Oh, by the way, if any body wants to say something to me, even if you are far away, just click Comment and say your piece, I will make sure Dad or Mom reads it to me.

Kayaking? What's that?

So the other day I was hanging out with my dad and some of his two-legger friends and they started talking about going kayaking. I was kind of bored since I had no idea what they were talking about. I just layed on my blanket and listened, until I heard my name mentioned. That got my attention. I thought I heard Dad say that I was going kayaking with them. Now I'm interested, especially since they said something about lunch being involved.

So before I knew it Dad was putting me into this long blue thing that he called a kayak and put me in the water. Have you ever tried standing up in something that was moving around in the water. Not easy, especially if you have short legs. Fortunately Dad had put my blanket under me so I just laid down, put my head on Dad's lap and decided to ride it out and see what happens.

After a bit I decided that this was kind of cool, so I got up and looked around to see where we were. Wow! Out in the middle of the bay. There's two other kayaks with Kim and Erin. I heard them say that Brooke and Riley had been with us but they had to go back. Kim keeps pointing that camera at me. Here Kim, how is this for a pose.

When we got out to where lunch was going to be, guess what Dad did? Did he feed me? No, he grabbed his camera and started taking pictures. Hey Dad, it's me Roxie - does the word lunch mean anything to you?

Finally we sit down on the blanket and have lunch. Actually, since I normally don't have lunch because I have to lose a little weight, all I got was a few little pieces of sandwich and a couple of pieces of cheese. Oh well, I had a really good time hanging with Dad and his friends

On the road again!

Oh boy, off to Morro Bay again. Going to see my buddies the smushy's, Betty, Stella and Gunther. Hope Dad takes me to the bark park - wait, Charlie might be there - oh well, I can deal with it! In the meantime, I need to get some rest to prepare, because I know there will be lot's of walking and running and rough housing.

So, Dad, when are you coming home. I can't wait to see you and go for a walk with you. Especially since Mom told me that I was going to Morro Bay with you next week. Hot diggety dog, that really gets my tail wagging. Mom said you bought me something, what is it? Huh....
